Be decent about it

ProfRate is a place for students to talk about IIT Delhi professors. It is a student project and is not run by the institute.

Please

• Write about the teaching and the work, not the person.
• Keep it to your own experience. If you did not see it happen, do not post it as fact.
• No contact details, anyone’s. Emails and phone numbers are stripped automatically.
• No abuse, and nothing about someone’s appearance, family, caste, religion, gender, sexuality or disability.
• Serious allegations belong with the institute, not in a comment thread.

Posts that break these get removed. Honest criticism does not, even when it is unflattering.

The boring part

Everything on this site is written by anonymous visitors. Those posts are their opinions, not ours. We do not check them, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for them or for anything you do after reading them. The site is provided as is.

We set one cookie: a random identifier that stops the same person voting twice. No name, no email, no institutional login. If you give an email when reporting a post, it is only used to reply to you. We count page visits, without cookies and without anything that identifies you, to see how much the site is used.

Something wrong?

Every post has a report link, which is the quickest way to flag one. Reports go straight to whoever is moderating the site.
